Major Research Consortium Performing GWAS

Converge consortium aimed to investigate the nature and mode of action of the genetic and environmental risk factors for major depressive disorder. It collected 11,670 whole-genome sequences representative of the Han Chinese population (half control and half MDD cases). High quality phenotype data on MDD was also collected in order to determine the source an nature of this highly heterogenous condition. Analysis performed on the ODA platform using OmicsDS as the genomic variant database identified variants in SIRT1 and LHPP genes in less than half a day using ODA Framework.
