Giridhar (Giri) Krishna Mamidipudi PhD, VP Software and Head – India Operations, Omics Data Automation

Giri joined Omics Data Automation (ODA) in January 2022 as VP Software and Head of India Operations.  With a 35-year career in the technology industry in Bangalore, Giri brings experience across a wide spectrum of life cycles and programming paradigms with consistent excellence in delivery of multi-location software projects. Giri joins ODA from Silvan which he co-founded and led as managing director. Silvan was focused on building Home Automation and IoT products for the Indian market. Giri successfully led Silvan through multiple rounds of fund raising from the TDB, Govt of India and Samsung Venture Capital amongst others and finally to an acquisition by Polycab, India in June 2021. Prior to Silvan, Giri headed a 450 person strong embedded software team and also set up a 100+ strong software productization organization for Texas Instruments to deliver quality multimedia processing software to key customers. As Managing Director of Winphoria Networks India – a CDMA softswitch company – Giri set up a 45-person development team which resulted in a $200M acquisition by Motorola.   In Lucent, he was one of a 4-member core team chartered to set up a 1000-member development organization for Lucent’s Wireless Organization in India. Giri started his career with Texas Instruments building rule-based systems for VLSI CAD design and subsequently led the development, maintenance and worldwide support of a UNIX based CASE tool for generating business applications for TI’s customers. Giri received his BE from Delhi College of Engineering, India and his PhD from Department of Aerospace Engineering, IISc Bangalore.
